Data protection of APTOMET AG
Customers APTOMET AG
A customer of APTOMET AG is a natural or legal person who has purchased a service from APTOMET AG at least once. A service is, among other things, a calibration, a repair, a purchase of a new device or the use of the measuring equipment management system APTObase.plus. A service in this context is obtained as soon as an order is placed with APTOMET AG, i.e. an order confirmation is issued by APTOMET AG. Data processing in the case of a request for quotation is dealt with under "Potential customers APTOMET AG".
Suppliers APTOMET AG
Suppliers of APTOMET AG are natural or legal persons from whom APTOMET AG has purchased a service at least once. A service is understood to mean, among other things, calibration, repair or the purchase of goods and services. A service in this context is purchased as soon as APTOMET AG has placed an order.
Potential customers of APTOMET AG
Potential customers of APTOMET AG are natural or legal persons who have requested a quotation from APTOMET AG at least once, who have actively requested company, product or service documentation, who have asked to be contacted on an occasion such as a visit/trade fair/event, who have proactively contacted APTOMET AG via the contact form on aptomet.ch, shop.aptomet.ch, aptobase.plus or who use a test account for APTObase.plus.
Data collected
APTOMET AG backs up publicly accessible company-specific data such as the company name, address and contact data as well as bank details (customers and suppliers). In addition, the person-specific data of the contact persons is secured. This includes the first and last name, direct telephone number, e-mail address and the title or function. APTOMET AG saves device-specific data from the orders placed, such as serial and test equipment numbers, device designations, locations of use, calibration and due dates and calibration requirements.
APTOMET AG divides customers, suppliers and potential customers into segments based on the service provided or the need conveyed. These segments are intended to correspond to a real customer need and to increase the value of our communication measures.
Use of the data
- Fulfilment of the order and creation of corresponding documents (order confirmation, delivery note, invoice, certificate, report)
- Delivery of documents by post or e-mail
- Delivery of recalls of measuring equipment due for calibration by e-mail
- Delivery of segment-specific information by e-mail (direct marketing)
- Contact by telephone to discuss segment-specific topics (direct marketing)
- Delivery of e-mails on generally relevant topics (invitation to trade fairs and events, general company-specific information such as adaptation of processes, etc.)
Data backup
APTOMET AG backs up data in the ERP system, the operating system, the measuring equipment management system (see website aptobase.plus), the e-shop (see website shop.aptomet.ch) and in paper form on our company's premises. The duration of the backup corresponds to the statutory retention period of 10 years. The type and accessibility of the data is in accordance with internal regulations. We will be happy to provide you with information on regulations such as the IT security concept.
Deletion and modification of data
We delete data immediately and finally upon request of our customers. Please contact our data protection officer or, for example, reply to an e-mail you have received from us. Please note that data which is subject to the legal obligation to retain is excluded from deletion.
Disclosure of customer data
APTOMET AG does not pass on any customer data to third parties. Customer data is only passed on if a measuring device is calibrated or repaired by a subcontractor. In this case, the customer address (address of the owner of the measuring instrument) is passed on so that this can be noted on the calibration certificate or repair report. When ordering new equipment, APTOMET AG as distributor is also obliged to provide the partner Druck, a Baker Hughes business (UK) and SIKA Dr. Siebert & Kühn GmbH & Co. KG (DE) the company name, postcode and town of the purchaser.

Collection of information when you visit our websites
When you access our websites, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit information, information of a general nature is automatically collected. Newsletter
System and responsibility
The main responsibility, creation and maintenance of the newsletter is with APTOMET AG. We offer a newsletter for APTOMET AG and its services, a newsletter for users of APTObase.plus and one for those interested in APTObase.plus. Registration for these newsletters is possible via the three websites aptomet.ch, shop.aptomet.ch and aptobase.plus. For sending the newsletter we used the email marketing module of Odoo (Odoo S.A., Belgium). Our Odoo partner in Switzerland is Abilium GmbH in 3005 Bern.
Your data will only be used to send you the newsletter you have subscribed to by e-mail. Your name is given in order to be able to address you personally in the newsletter and to identify you if you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject.
To receive the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your e-mail address. When you register to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by e-mail about circumstances relevant to the service or registration (e.g. changes to the newsletter service or technical circumstances).
For an effective registration, we require a valid e-mail address. In order to verify that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address, we use the "double-opt-in" procedure. For this purpose, we log the order for the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the response requested herewith. No further data is collected. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.
Analysis
We use tracking pixels in newsletters to analyse their effectiveness. The information obtained in this way is evaluated statistically and anonymously. It is only combined with your personal data to determine which products, solutions and services you are interested in and to advise and inform you accordingly.
Legal basis
On the basis of your expressly given consent, we will regularly send you our newsletter or comparable information by e-mail to your specified e-mail address.
You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for sending the newsletter at any time with effect for the future. You will find a link to this effect in every newsletter. You can also unsubscribe directly on this website at any time or inform us of your revocation using the contact option provided at the end of this data protection notice.

Website aptomet.ch
System and responsibility
The main responsibility, maintenance and management lies with APTOMET AG. The website aptomet.ch is created with the CMS system TYPO3, a free content management system for websites.
Contact form
On the website aptomet.ch you will find contact forms to get in touch with APTOMET. The data you enter will be stored for the purpose of individual communication with you. For this purpose, it is necessary to provide a valid e-mail address. This serves the purpose of assigning the enquiry and subsequently answering it.
Your contact request is sent to info@aptomet.ch and data, e.g. for the creation of a quotation, is stored in our ERP system. At this point, your data is stored as "potential customer" data. If a contractual relationship is established, your data will be subject to those of "customers APTOMET" (see "Data protection of APTOMET AG").
Legal basis
The processing of the data entered in the contact form is based on a legitimate interest.
By providing the contact form, we would like to enable you to contact us in an uncomplicated manner. The information you provide will be stored in our ERP system for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for possible follow-up questions.
Provision mandatory or required
The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, we can only process your enquiry if you provide us with your name, e-mail address and the reason for the enquiry.
Use of Matomo (web analytics platform)
If you have given your consent, this website uses Matomo (formerly Piwik), an open source software for statistical analysis of visitor access. The provider of the Matomo software is InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand.
Matomo sets a cookie (a text file) on your terminal device with which your browser can be recognised. If sub-pages of our website are called up, the following information is stored:
- the IP address of the user, shortened by the last two bytes (anonymised)
- the sub-page called up and the time of the call-up
- the page from which the user accessed our website (referrer)
- which browser with which plugins, which operating system and which screen resolution is used
- the time spent on the website
- the pages that are accessed from the sub-page called up
Matomo is used to improve the quality of our website and its content. In this way, we learn how the website is used and can thus constantly optimise our offer.
By anonymising the IP address by six digits, we take into account the interest of the website visitor in the protection of personal data. The data is not used to personally identify the website user and is not merged with other data. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be passed on to third parties.

Order via Shop
In order to provide our services in the webshop, we require additional data (address, name, contact details) to be able to execute your order. If users place an order for which a charge is made, the data will subsequently be treated as data from customers of APTOMET AG.
Storage period
In addition to storing the data in the shop (Odoo software), we store the data in our ERP systems until the legal retention periods have expired. This is basically 10 years for reasons of proper accounting and tax law requirements.

The provision of your personal data is voluntary. Without the provision of your personal data, we cannot grant you access to our offered contents and services.
Website aptobase.plus
System and responsibility
The main responsibility, maintenance and management lies with APTOMET AG. The platform was developed with Abilium GmbH in 3005 Bern. Abilium GmbH is our development partner and has access to the database in the same way as APTOMET AG.
Contract and read-only customers have a login for the database. In addition to user data (address for client and locations, contact data for user account), test equipment data is stored in the application. The use of the application by contract customers is regulated in a contract.
APTObase also stores all test equipment data of devices that APTOMET AG has calibrated in its laboratories since 2018. Further information can be found under "APTOMET AG data protection".
Calibration recall
APTOMET AG records the data of calibrated measuring equipment in APTObase.plus. By default, a gauge is recorded with a calibration interval of 24 months. After expiry of this period, 8 weeks before the next calibration is due, an automatic message (callback) is sent by e-mail. The recipient of the e-mail is always the client (name on calibration order).
On request, callbacks can be set. We are also happy to change the callback contact and the calibration interval on request. Please contact our data protection officer or another APTOMET AG employee.
Contact form
On the website aptobase.plus you will find contact forms to get in touch with APTOMET. Your contact request will be sent to info@aptobase.plus.
The data you enter will be stored for the purpose of individual communication with you. For this purpose, it is necessary to provide a valid e-mail address and your name. This serves the purpose of assigning the enquiry and subsequently answering it.

Test APTObase
Company and contact data of users of the test account will be stored in our ERP system and the data will be treated as data of potential customers.
Request Read-Only-Account
A Read-Only-Account is only available for existing customers of APTOMET. The data will be handled according to the specifications "Customers APTOMET".
